Embark on a coastal path, breathe in the fresh sea air and connect with nature. The watchtower is a historic witness of Morairas coastline and history. Starting at LaSort Hotel, opposite Moraira Castle, this route covers 2 km and takes about 1.5 hours (round trip). From the 18th-century Moraira Castle, you can see your destination, the Torre Vigía de Moraira on Cap dOr. Head towards Paseo del Portet, a pleasant walk along the cliffs, ending at Playa del Portet, where you start the ascent to Cap dOr. Cap dOr is a protected micro-reserve of flora, home to the Silene de Ifach (Silene hifacensis), a unique flower found only in the Penyal de Ifach, Cap dOr, and the islands of Ibiza and Formentera. Besides its role in defending against pirate attacks, the tower also played a significant part in communication between the coastal towers. Built in the 16th century, it has been restored several times to ensure its preservation.

This route is perfect year-round and offers spectacular views of Moraira Bay, the Penyal de Ifach, Morro de Toix, Cabo de la Nao, El Albir, Serra Gelada, and even the coasts of Ibiza and Formentera on clear days.
