The Gourmet Race is a unique event that combines a passion for sailing and fine dining in one place. During this competition, boats not only compete in the beautiful bay of Moraira but also challenge themselves in creating gourmet dishes. Whats most intriguing is that the secret ingredient they must use is not revealed until one week before the event. A true challenge for chefs and food enthusiasts!

A Michelin Star Jury

The Gourmet Race spares no expense in quality. The jury is composed of renowned international gastronomic professionals, including:

• Eric Bouchenoire, MOF 2 stars in Paris.
• Elsie Mendez, editor of Sabores de Mexico.
• Susi Diaz, from La Finca de Elche with a Michelin star.
• Paco Torreblanca, a globally recognized pastry chef.
• Jose Manuel Miguel, 1 Michelin star at Beat in Calp.
• Ferdinando Bernardi, from Casa Bernardi in Benissa.
• Marta Devesa, from Hogar del Pescado in Villajoyosa.
• Alberto Ferruz, 2 stars at Restaurant BonAmb in Javea, who also serves as the jurys president.

The Gourmet Week

But thats not all. This year, the Gourmet Race comes with an exciting addition: the Gourmet Week. From October 2nd to 8th, you can enjoy a week filled with flavor in collaboration with 12 local restaurants, including our very own Sand Restaurant. Each restaurant will offer special menus that will take you on a culinary journey through the unique flavors of the region.
